Once again a big hit with the End of Season Player Awards Presentation took place on 26th April 2026, at Zymal’s Banqueting Hall. The event had an impressive turnout of over 350 attendees, including players from our competitive boys, girls, men and women’s teams, devoted parents, supportive sponsors, esteemed ambassadors, distinguished guests and dedicated volunteers. The event celebrated 25 years of delivering community projects and 20 years of participating in competitive league football and honouring exceptional players and individuals along the way. The event was hosted by the founder, Anwar Khattak BEM, and commenced with an impassioned opening speech by Chairman Professor Paul Cadman, highlighting the remarkable progress made over the 25 years and setting a vision for the organisation’s future. Further Speeches done by Lord Mayor of Birmingham Zaffar Iqbal and being awarded the Chairmans Award by Paul Cadman for his services for longstanding support for communities and young people.. Moving on to the three Special Recognition Awards were handed to Simon Foster (police crime commissioner) for his dedicated service and contribution to society and communities, Ifraz Ahmed from B Events and Manj/Amar from Purple Square for their hard work in putting on numerous events and supporting our charity.
The ceremony began by acknowledging our current boys, girls, men and women league teams being awarded on stage, along with our volunteers, Ambassadors, Referees, our Goal Keepers for all our teams followed on by a 3 course meal provided with quality sound provided by Manj from Purple Square Audio Visual.
BYSA Goal Keepers for all teams were awarded the Golden Glove for their hard work and dedication to the club;
BYSA home game referees were awarded to Faris and Hassam as former players and now Referees of the game;
U12/U14 Girls Team manager Shakeel Hussain and Coach Hinah Khan awarded the team players for outstanding performance;
Birmingham Womens Team Manager Sadaf and Coach Hafeesah awarded the team players with the Respect Award;
Team manager Abdulrahman Shami and his coaching staff Mohammed Qasam Rehman. The awards for the under 15’s boys team were presented as follows:-
- Top Scorer: Hayder
- Clubman Award: Muscab
- Manager’s Player: Nizar
- Coach’s Player: Hanad
- Most Improved: Anson
- Player of the Season: Ibrahim
Team manager Ahmed Ali and his coaching staff Idris Mohammed. The awards for the under 13’s boys team were presented as follows:-

- Manager’s Player: Abdella Hacini
- Most Improved: Zeeshan Khattak
- Coach’s Player: Adnan Mourtazik
- Top Goal Scorer: Layth AlMufti
- Player of the Season: Musa Khan

- Manager’s Player: Raheem Mubarik
- Most Improved: Zayd Sadiq
- Coach’s Player: Anwar Lafjaji Mourtazik
- Top Goal Scorer: Zayd Khalfi-El-Amri
- Player of the Season: Yahya Khan
BYSA Ambassadors were awarded for their help and support over the years and acknowledged on stage with a Thank you award;
BYSA Volunteers were awarded with the Community Champions Award to all involved over 40 individuals were recognised for their hard work;
BYSA Special Recognition Award for 25 years Service was awarded to Riaz Ul-Haq Khan, Waheed Ayoob, Umar Shireen and Shakeel Hussain by the Founder and Chairman.
Closing speech by the founder to finish off the event was an emotional and empowering speech that touched the hearts of many and was awarded by the entire team for his services and leadership and his family called to the stage to mark this great achievement.
