The Birmingham youth sports academy charity dinner on 15/4/16 @ the prestige suite in smethwick was a big success once again as to last year having after dinner speaker John Aldridge LFC legend, but that didn’t stop BYSA to have another event for its supporters and sponsors to see the great work it continues to do.
This year the demand was high and the dinner had lots on offer ranging from live auction , raffle , entertainment and 3 course meal , awards to the children of the BYSA league teams , this year the after dinner speaker was Ian Rush LFC legend who needs no introduction and other celebrities joining him on the night were mark Walters , gary shaw , cyrille Regis who are all ex retired footballers and also joining us were other sporting hero’s such as yafai brothers and Tasif khan who are boxers , Kabir Ali cricketer , Noreen khan radio presenter, manish bhasin compere and many more. The entertainment this year was by the following who gave that high class to the event DJ nav who sang live English and Asian songs , keegan Hammond who played and sang live with a guitar and then the solareo dance group who made the evening rock.

BYSA would like to welcome this years after dinner speaker who needs no introduction, with his past history, record and contribution to football. We are delighted to have him here tonight at the BYSA Gala Charity Dinner 2016.
The charity auction consist of high flying sporting memorabilia items like Mohammed Ali boxing glove , pele & marradona signed shirts and Ronnie osullivan snooker cue and many more, the auctioneer mr Balbir singh who is a great asset to the BYSA did a tremendous job on the evening Over £15,000.00 was made on the night for the BYSA to continue on its journey delivering football to the children of the community. Barclays team were at the dinner in full force and had confirmed match funding to help raise additional money towards the charity which we are delighted to have on board and at the dinner.
After the charity auction it was time for the after dinner speaker Ian Rush to come on stage and entertain the guests what a night for all the LFC fans to remember this was the high light of the evening as this was a surprise to all our guests for the evening.
The evening was hosted by manish bhasin who has surprised with the high class people in attendance as the evening consists of solicitors , barristers , doctors , judges, professional shop owners , accountants , consultants , networkers , educational and council funded departments and many directors and managers from companies ranging from wholesale , food and electrical outlets and football clubs etc.
The special guest speaker HRH princess Katarina of Yugoslavia and Serbia was delighted to attend the evening and became an ambassador for the BYSA as she had attended the BYSA session and the good work it delivers , guests were very surprised of having royalty at the event with many other celebs , the BYSA had other guest of honour guests such as captain Mohammed javaid , Lord lutenient , deputy Lord Mayor and mayoress , James Whitaker from Barclays , Richard benson QC and Kevin hegarty QC and many others.
The dinner had lots to offer this year and so much going on the demand was high the celebrities have that profile the BYSA needed and we can’t thank them enough.
